While staying at the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara, our room was furnished with some reading material . . . including the "Summertime Anytime Cookbook". . . recipes from "Shutters on the Beach" which looks like an amazing hotel in Santa Monica. I started casually leafing through it and copying down some recipes that looked interesting. I finally decided I should just purchase the book because there were so many recipes I wanted to try. In between chapters there are antedotes about life on the beach and the recipe chapters all have wonderful coastal themes (Sunny Days, Cloudy Days, Balmy Nights, etc.) This is the absolute perfect gift for the beach lover!
