Follow Your Instincts!

The interior of your home is . . . well . . . personal and should reflect a space that makes you happy.  It does not matter if an item may not be in the "right" place as long as it is in your "right" place . . . that is what it is all about.

The accessories you select should express your spirit and make your room come alive.  But, don't get carried away with too many accessories.  Leave some empty room for your eyes to rest.

All rooms should have a unique signature item that can anchor a room.  An over-sized chandelier, a fun accent pillow, a beautiful area rug, or your favorite artwork.

Everyone has a beautiful space in their mind.  Be you, follow your instinct and remember . . . what you love does not go out of style!

See it in Black & White

Black is the NEW black!  Black will always have a presence in design and fashion.  Think black tie.

Black and white expresses extreme opposites . . . night/day . . . ying/yang . . .

Black is bold and mysterious, but also imparts a classic touch to your space.

The visual effect of black against white is empowering.

Black and white is not just for toile . . . black and white can create a sophisticated, modern palette in your space.

Add your favorite color to your black and white background.  Red is always a powerful addition.

An old world porch gets a stylish update with bold contemporary black and white stripes.  We hope that seeing everything "in black and white" has inspired you!

Big, Bold Lamps!

Over-size lamps can make a well, huge statement in your seaside space.  Large lamps can anchor a whole room, not to mention perform their main function by shedding light!   We have highlighted some of our favorite hefty lamps that may be just calling out to your  space . . .

Think of table lamps as the accessory needed to complete your space.  The right shoes can make the outfit, right?  Well, the right table lamp can compliment your room.  An interesting lamp shade can add texture and color.
Good lighting can enhance your room and bring a sense of warmth and life to your space.  These large lamps can also bring fun and fashion to your coastal rooms.

If your room is looking a bit tired and needs an update, a new table lamp is an easy fix.  And, no, the lamps do not have to match.  As long as your lighting choices convey the same mood, mixing and matching is more visually attactive.  Just make sure the lamps tie into each other in some way.

Varying the lighting elements in your room will give you the layered lighting that is both functional and illuminating!

On the Waterfront

More ways to bring the sea to your space.  We love all of these rooms that started off with a white background introducing deep blue in touches here and there to bring you seaside.

A fresh coat of white paint gives you a blank canvas to decorate with your personal style.

The pairing of the sky and sea will give your coastal space a classic nautical design . . . a natural fit for life by the sea!
